Karl-Edwin Guerre knows his street style. The photographer, known simply as “Guerre”, has been snapping the sartorial scene for his blog, Guerreisms, and the pages of GQ Japan, VOGUE Italia and the like long before it became de rigueur to do so. Here, he shares the habits that keep him centered in spite of a hectic fashion show-filled schedule.
What’s the one habit you have that changed your life for the better?
With time I’ve learned to become a composed individual. I don’t do extremes and it’s allowed me to interact better with people in general.
What’s the one habit you have that’s not so great?
To be honest, I’ve made it a point to work on my bad habits, and call me delusional when I say that, today, I can’t think of any bad habits that I may still have.
What’s your naughtiest habit?
I indulge in Port and some rich chocolate after every personal accomplishment—a small indulgence I picked up along the way.
What’s your secret (or not-so) style habit?
Live life like it owes you nothing. Do it ‘cause it works for you and with you.
What’s a habit you wish you had?
I’m in a good place, I don’t wish for habits or things, just for blessings for my family and friends.
What style habits should every person should adopt?
Be honest with yourself.
Live within reason and with no regrets.
Find your own habits.
What style habit should every person break?
Not exploring possibilities.
